Hoiyadaegyo

As a long span bridge, Hoiyadaegyo was constructed by I.L.M. technique considering high altitude and difficulty in installation of supporting posts by farms and Hoiya river under the bridge which is the water supply of Ulsan.
I.L.M.(Incremental Launching Method) technique refers to a method adding segments as long as 1/2 or 1/3 of the total length by sliding them after producing at the casting yard installed at the end of one post. Especially, 3 times of pushing was applied in I.L.M. construction of Hoiyadaegyo. Considering that only 2 times of pushing has been attempted in domestic constructions, it will greatly influence domestic construction of long span bridges in the future.

Munsu tunnel

Located from Yeonghae-ri of Cheongryang-myeon to Gulhwa-ri of Beomseo-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, Munsu tunnel pennetrates the stream of Mt. Munsu (△600m) on its western side.
NATM technique was chosen for the stable, economic, and convenient construction of the tunnel. A separate tunnel management building is under operation for the effective management and the immediate measurement for accidents.
